Director - External Affairs

Hi. I'm Jennifer Young,  Director - External Affairs. My responsibilities include community relations, local government affairs, economic development, consumer, education and urban relations, and local media relations for Atlantic, Burlington, Camden, Cape May, Cumberland, Gloucester and Salem counties. I also am responsible for African American and urban initiatives for the southern half of the state and local corporate philanthropy and employee volunteerism.

My career at New Jersey Bell began in 1990 in the Small Business Marketing Sales Group in Newark, NJ.   In my previous assignments I have had responsibility for Project Management, Installation and Maintenance, Construction, Dispatch and Training and Development. 

I am a board member of the Atlantic City Regional Chamber of Commerce, Cooper's Ferry and the Southern New Jersey Development Council.  I also am a member of the following organizations:  Burlington County Chambers of Commerce, Southern New Jersey Chambers of Commerce, Salem County Chamber of Commerce and Cape May Chambers of Commerce, NAACP, Consortium of Information and Telecommunication Executives and Women’s Association of Verizon Employees. 

As a Director-External Affairs, I would be more than happy to talk with you about the kinds of services Verizon offers.  I can tell you more about how Verizon is transforming itself into a next generation broadband company with our fiber network and our new FiOS services, which provide clearer voice, faster Internet and soon choice in the cable TV market with our FiOS TV service.

I also can share with you information about Verizon's many educational and economic development initiatives in the state.
