Director - External Affairs

Hi. I'm Rick Ricca, Director - External Affairs. My responsibilities include community relations, local government affairs, economic development, consumer, education and urban relations, and local media relations for Morris, Sussex, Passaic and Warren counties. I am also responsible for local corporate philanthropy and employee volunteerism.

I've been with Verizon since 1979, serving in a variety of jobs, mostly in the sales and marketing area. Prior to my External Affairs assignment, I was the Pioneer Administrator for the H.G. McCully #12 Chapter of the Telephone Pioneers of America.

I am President of the Passaic County 200 Club and serve on the following Boards of Directors: Greater Paterson Chamber of Commerce; Passaic County Community College Foundation; Action Theatre Conservatory; Passaic County Workforce Investment Board (WIB) and the Paterson Economic Development Corporation.

As a Director-External Affairs, I would be more than happy to talk with you about the kinds of services Verizon offers.  I can tell you more about how Verizon is transforming itself into a next generation broadband company with our fiber network and our new FiOS services, which provide clearer voice, faster Internet and soon choice in the cable TV market with our FiOS TV service.

I also can share with you information about Verizon's many educational and economic development initiatives in the state.
