Doug Schoenberger is Vice President of Public Affairs for Verizon
NJ.
Prior to joining Verizon in 2007, Doug held several positions with
AT&T. Most recently, Doug was based in Washington DC where he
advocated AT&T’s positions to the Executive branch and Federal
Communications Commission on international service issues.
Previously, he developed and advocated AT&T’s positions in the
state, federal, and international arenas on a range of technology,
standards, and infrastructure topics. Doug also created enhanced
network services and long-range network service plans in AT&T’s
business marketing organization. He first joined AT&T with Bell
Laboratories, where he had a number of assignments, including PBX
engineering and technical regulatory analysis.
Doug is a past board member of the US Telecommunications Training
Institute, the Coalition of Service Industries, and the US ITU
Association. He was also a cleared advisor to the US government’s
International Trade and Advisory Committee.
Doug has a B.S. in Applied Mathematics from Union College and an
M.Eng. in Operations Research from Cornell University.
