enhance volunteerism in New Jersey and to assist Verizon employees who live and work in
New Jersey in finding volunteerism opportunities. The Verizon Volunteerism Web Area is
directly related to the overall efforts set forth by
The Verizon Foundation, which was launched on
July 3, 2000, to
serve the non-profit community on behalf of Verizon Communications, America's number one wireline and wireless company.
Through its support and sponsorships and, with the help of its more than 17,000 employees
working in New Jersey and 10,000 retirees living in New Jersey, Verizon is active in every
community in the state.
